In the first quarter of 2010 were born in our area (Valli and Nevola Misa) 46 new companies. This is what emerges from the data processed by the study center on the opening of Confartigianato companies between January and March 2010. These figures reveal that despite the economic downturn we are experiencing, the territory has a great desire to react and leave behind the moments of serious difficulties that have bent the economy of our towns. Enrollment to 46 new artisans registered in the valleys in these three months, following 28 deaths and thus the end result was + 18. In the town of Ostra
there were 4 entries (2 in the construction sector, one wood and one in engineering), compared with 2 deaths with a positive balance of + 2.
The budget of our district, when compared with other districts that make the record or minus sign or modest growth, is by far the most positive. However, if the data lead to a cautious optimism and the textile and wood are good performance record (textiles with 10 new companies compared to 3 deaths, 7-wood and 4 deaths registrations, +3) analysis on fundamentals of budget and therefore on the turnover, profits and employment show that the recovery is still some way off. The financial situation of many companies continues to be particularly difficult and profits have been drastically reduced (- 20% - 30% at best). A better withstand economic and financial are certainly companies that have invested in innovating the production processes and focusing on quality, together with those working on its own. For businesses forced instead to work for contractors continues, unfortunately, a critical financial situation.
What to do then to stem the crisis? Confartigianato, just to meet changing business needs has developed alongside the traditional instruments (credit, accounting and payroll), innovative services based on the definition of a "Strategic Plan", advanced tools "Marketing", on the careful "management control" and doing a thorough "Financial Planning". "Only in this way, investing in the quality of services provided, we will be able to help our businesses overcome this difficult moment." A hand to everything important could come also from tourism. Ostra with its center and its beauties and Confartigianato with some major initiatives such as the National Exhibition of Antique combined with some projects aimed at enhancing the local arts and crafts, will be an important resource, alternative or complementary to the beach tourism and the coast.
