How Long Can You Leave A Weave In

Our agriculture deserves more

We asked Monnati Maurizio, Secretary of the Provincial Coldiretti, an intervention on agriculture Marche. We thank him for the interesting article

It 's a difficult time for our agriculture, among the most difficult in our history. The prices of agricultural products plummeted and with them the viability of businesses. All this, however, is not an effect of the international crisis has also affected our region and, with it, the various productive sectors, with serious consequences on consumption and employment.
The difficult time has had some general reflection, it is true, in our countryside, but it should be noted that food consumption has largely held. The real cause of the crisis in agriculture must therefore be sought elsewhere, and particularly those which are two great injustices, two thefts that are practiced every day against those who work in the country. The first is the theft of value added. For every euro spent by the consumer, only 17 cents end up in pockets of farmers and this gap is widening more and more. Yes, because the pennies that we take our productions to become euro for the end consumer through the supply chain in step with increases in speculative and unjustified. The other theft
affected our agriculture, too serious, there is identity theft. Too much food is sold as made in Italy but in reality it is not. Do you think that only a product that is sold in three in our country is truly Italian. If we look at the world situation, the relationship becomes one in four. All this makes us understand that the real reason why agriculture can not see their work is recognized which has no bargaining power in the supply chain. Bargaining power is an economic fact, and recovers with economic projects.
E 'why Coldiretti has launched a project for the Italian agricultural sector, a project that the interests of consumers, businesses and the entire territory. A project, therefore, for the whole country, which will ensure transparency and the source of real Made in Italy, that which arises entirely from our territories, to get it to consumers at the right price without speculation and forgeries.
In this way we intend to launch a real economy, and what's more real than the product of the territory which becomes food, food made in Italy? E 'in this direction that we must all work together: businesses, organizations, politics. Because our agriculture is worth more.
Maurizio Monnati
