technical notes taken by MyMovies - a film by Ryan Murphy (Nip / Tuck, Glee), starring Julia Roberts, Javier Bardem, Viola Davis, Billy Crudup, James Franco, Richard Jenkins, Luke Arfgentero , USA 2010, 140 min duration.

Based on the book by Elizabeth Gilbert, "Eat, Pray loves "the writer said the choice to move away from New York to discover or rediscover who he is. After facing a divorce, a new love, he decides to leave and chose to Italy (eat), India (pray) and Bali ( love), where he met a shaman who had predicted what would happen.

I have not read the book, so I do not know if maybe it's deeper than what is proposed on the big screen, but this film leaves the taste of something unfinished, something that could be more, but that was not. The Italian class is full of scripted American prejudices about Italians, about eating, about not doing anything and sex. the Indian side is the most deep, she looking for God meets two characters who, with their different experiences led her to think of herself, her life, having to forgive in order to be reborn. The part about Bali is worth only for Javier Bardem, with his extraordinary facial expressions, his charm and his bravura.diventerà the new love that Liz, afraid of losing his new equilibrium can not let go, until aided by shaman does not understand that to be complete and must combine all three experiences. the movie has a bit rate u 'slow, but you watch, just do not spill over too many expectations
